What is Project: ELEKTRA?
Simple Answer: Project: ELEKTRA is about you, the music, and the night.
Long Answer: Project: ELEKTRA is a club event that is not bound by the restrictions of new or old, light or dark, hard or soft, foreign or familiar. It is the celebration of an electronic heritage that dates back to Kraftwerk which has continued to evolve and diversify into the present and hopefully the future. It is a place where you can hear your favorite new wave, synth, futurepop, elektroclash, darkwave, ebm, and industrial songs by your favorite artists at a surreal volume, and where you can hear music for the first time that you'll want to hear again. It's about dancing and interacting. It's about forgetting the world outside and getting lost in the music.
Why is it called Project: ELEKTRA?
It was originally just a project called ELEKTRA until A04 realized that there already was an Elektra Records. Not wanting (in any way) to become associated with the label, he changed the name to Project: ELEKTRA. Elektra has a nice sound to it, very closely entwined with the electronic pulse of the music and the sensuous nature of the dance. It is a project in a sense of supporting other club events in order to open the scene to a wider audience as well as introducing new artists to the Japanese audience. It will continue to be a project in the sense that we will always endeavor to deliver a unique club experience in whatever venue we may land in for as long as we can party.
